I'm a trainee accountant who is looking for a better life that does not involve accounting software.
I have been playing with kanzashi for the last 4 years but it has only been recently that I have taken the plunge and started selling them.
What drives me to make them? Well they are fun to make and it combines two things that I love, textiles and origami!

However my main aim is to receive commission orders because they are more fun to make! All my designs are customizable so let me know what you want and I will do my best to fulfil your order. On the otherhand, you may have an idea of what you want! Again just contact me and I will make your kanzashi dream come to life.

However we need a hair stylist and makeup artist!

A friend of mine in Japan recently did some volunteering work for a group called Peace boat.

Which got me and a friend in UK thinking? Maybe we should do some volunteering in Japan? However we can only do this if each of us can raise £600-£700 which will cover the flights, food and clothing we will need to get there. We are personally going to put in £500 ourselves to cover the orientation week which we need to do to make sure we are prepared mentally.
Would anyone be interested in helping me raise this amount?

It is the final week before I will be attending my first ever convention and I'm excited!
So I am busy making sure I have all the kanzashi are packaged and hairbands completed.
In addition, I have roped my kimono friends into running a kimono dressing photoshoot as well because this would be an ideal event to encourage and promote the wonders of kimono. We are always short on kimono de jack uk attendees so lets hope we can find some newbies.

Is your work made from 100% wool felt or a felted wool blend? I am looking to start working with felt for plushies and I need some pointers of good sources to purchase from online. Trying to find somone who sells by the yard vs lil squares. Nice work btw.
My felt creations are needle felted from merino roving. I don't use pre-made felt fabric as they are not soft enough for my liking.
